The gist

Staff is where you build your team: invite people, give them positions, plan who works when, and track time off. You'll find it under the Team section in the sidebar.

Invite a team member

4 steps · they finish their own setup

  1. In the left sidebar, open the Team section and click Staff & Absences.
  2. Click Invite team member.
  3. Enter their name and email (for example colleague@example.com).
  4. Send the invite. They get an email to set up their own profile.

Each person has a role — Owner, Manager, or Member — which controls what they can see and do.

Track absences

4 steps · holidays, sick leave and more

From Staff & Absences you can record time off:

  1. Click Request absence.
  2. Choose the type: Holiday, Sick leave, Unpaid leave, or Other.
  3. Pick the dates and add optional notes.
  4. Submit. Requests start as Pending until they're approved.

Set up positions

4 steps · the roles your venue runs on

Positions are the roles your venue runs on (bartender, server, chef), grouped into sections.

  1. Open the Team section and click Positions.
  2. Click Add section and name it (for example Bar, Floor, or Kitchen).
  3. Add positions to each section (for example Bartender).
  4. Drag to reorder, or use Edit to rename a position and Rename section / Delete section to manage groups.
You'll pick from these positions when building the schedule.

Build the shift schedule

3 steps · repeat across the week

  1. Open the Team section and click Shift schedule.
  2. Add a shift to a day, choose the staff member and their position, and set the time. Add optional shift notes if needed.
  3. Repeat across the week. The schedule shows each shift's name, position, and time.

Reuse a week with presets

2 steps · save your normal week once

If your week is usually the same, save it as a preset:

  1. Click New preset (or Create your first preset) and name it (for example Normal Week).
  2. Later, use Apply to week of to drop that preset onto any week and adjust from there.
